Abstract
Reconstruction after resection of pelvic tumours is a major challenge. We report the outcomes and complications of 7 patients who underwent limb salvage following type II or type II, III pelvic resection and reconstruction using a saddle prosthesis or custom-made hemipelvic prosthesis. In our opinion, reconstruction using custom-made prostheses is better than placement of saddle prostheses because of a lower risk of complications and improved functional outcomes.Entities:
