Abstract
In an attempt to study the ecological correlates of various forms of social disequilibrium, census tract characteristics in a moderately large western city were analyzed. Measures of social disequilibrium were found to be highly intercorrelated over tracts. Some community characteristics were identified which bear a significant relationship to these measures of socially deviant behavior. Attention was given to the methodological problems and possibilities in the use of correlational data to suggest cause-effect relationships.Year: 1966 PMID: 26825600 DOI: 10.1207/s15327906mbr0103_4
