Abstract
Early diagnosis of severe acute pancreatitis with its early complications, ie. acute acute respiratory failure, acute kidney injury, or abdominal compartment syndrome, leading to the development of multiple organ failure remains crucial for the survival. It allows for precise selection of high risk patients and enables an early implementation of adequate therapy. The aim of the study was to analyze the current information on potentially useful prognostic scales and markers in the early stage of severe acute pancreatitis.Entities:
