Abstract
The evolution of particle coarsening due to a combined effect of Ostwald ripening and coagulation at the concluding stage of phase transition processes in metastable media is considered. A complete analytical solution of integro-differential equations with a memory kernel is found in special self-similar variables for supersaturated solutions and supercooled liquids. It is shown that the particle distribution function becomes narrower and bell-shaped when decreasing the metastability level. The analytical solutions obtained are in good agreement with experimental data.Year: 2016 PMID: 26732456 DOI: 10.1088/0953-8984/28/3/035102
