A responsive MOF nanocomposite for decoding volatile organic compounds.

You Zhou1, Bing Yan1.

Abstract

A responsive luminescent MOF nanocomposite has been developed by postsynthetic incorporation of Eu(3+) cations into a robust nanocrystalline framework. The resultant MOF nanocomposite can serve as a platform for recognizing aromatic VOCs with similar structures and physical properties based on an unprecedented dual-readout identification scheme.
