Abstract
If the histological patterns of Castleman's disease are well defined--hyaline vascular type and plasma cell type--, the clinical spectrum is widely divergent, ranging from localised forms cured by surgical ablation to multicentric idiopathic forms requiring systemic therapy; some cases are associated with an acquired immunodeficiency, such as HIV infection. The pathogeny of the disease is discussed.Entities:
