Interdisciplinary ultrasound departments are sources for modern and effective ultrasound diagnostic procedures. Radiologists have a very important role as part of these centers for the establishment of new diagnostic ultrasound modalities like contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), image fusion between US and computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance tomography (MRI), resulting in new interventional procedures.
