Abstract
Transplantation for end-stage pulmonary disease is now established as an effective therapy for selected patients. Initially, combined heart and lung transplantation was the only therapeutic option for these patients. Recent developments that include improved immunosuppression, preservation of grafts and technical advances and markedly decreasing bronchial anastomotic complications have made unilateral pulmonary transplantation a clinical reality.Entities:
