Abstract
An integrated understanding of the wound healing process, pharmacological agents, and surgical techniques are required for comprehensive treatment of wound healing in glaucoma filtration surgery. More well controlled basic and clinical studies are required to clarify the existing ambiguities in the selection of proper pharmacological agents, dosage, timing, and method of delivery. The most promising treatment modalities may be combination drug therapy and the use of bioerodible compounds for a sustained and localized delivery system.Entities:
