Abstract
Over the past decade, there has been a significant increase in the number of patients with a variety of malignant and nonmalignant disorders referred for bone marrow transplantation. Despite numerous advances in the care of such patients after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation, acute and chronic graft-vs.-host disease continues to be a principal cause of morbidity and mortality. In this article, we will present an overview of the pathogenesis, clinical presentation, and pathological manifestations of these two major complications.Entities:
