AIDS and the acute abdomen.

The authors describe the common causes of abdominal pain in HIV-infected patients, with particular attention to distinguishing patients who have acute abdominal syndromes from those with chronic illness. Specific etiologic agents, as well as clinical syndromes, are discussed.
