[Immunotherapy in lung cancer: checkpoint inhibitors].

Thomas Wehler1, Beatrice Wehler2, Ingo Stehle3.

Abstract

Monoclonal antibodies against the PD-1 receptor or its ligands result in a recovery of T cell responses against tumor antigens. Nivolumab is the first antibody that has been approved in lung cancer. This mode of action is very intersting, especially because of long term responses and the moderate toxicity. © Georg Thieme Verlag KG Stuttgart · New York.
