Abstract
A brief review of the literature on necrotizing sialometaplasia has been presented. A patient with necrotizing sialometaplasia of the retromolar pad is reported. This is the first such lesion to be described in an oral site other than the palate. Clinical, histologic, and etiologic aspects of the lesion have veen discussed.Entities:
