Abstract
A palmar dislocation of the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint of a little finger occurred in a 25-year-old man and was successfully treated by an open reduction. Only seven other cases were reported in the literature. The mechanism of the palmar MCP joint dislocation was assumed to occur by hyperflexion injury. The dorsal capsule of the MCP joint was thought the essential pathologic feature that prevented successful closed reduction. The mechanism and pathologic anatomy of the palmar dislocation of the MCP joint is discussed.Entities:
