Abstract
Pulmonary endometriosis is a gynecological disorder in which endometrial tissue grows outside of the uterine cavity. Usually, the ectopic implants are located in the pelvis and manifest as dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain, or infertility. Pulmonary endometriosis sometimes occurs in the pleurae and can result in catamenial pneumothorax; however, true pulmonary endometriosis, tissue growing in the lung itself, is rare. We report a 22-year-old patient with pulmonary endometriosis and catamenial hemoptysis. Pulmonary endometriosis was proved histologically and treated successfully by wedge resection using video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.Entities:
