Abstract
The authors describe five patients with body-dysmorphic disorder who responded preferentially to serotonin reuptake blockers. They review the literature, describe how patients with excessive concern about body abnormalities lie along a spectrum of doubt and certainty, and discuss similarities and differences between this disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.Entities:
