Abstract
Esophageal duplication cysts are uncommon, benign lesions of the esophagus that have previously been described as occurring only in the thoracic cavity. Herein we report a case of an esophageal cyst located entirely within the abdomen, which is, to the best of our knowledge, the first such case reported. Surgery is generally the treatment of choice for esophageal cysts, and was indicated in this case for the diagnosis and management of symptoms attributable to the cyst.Entities:
