Abstract
Peripheral generators and the central nervous system have a role in the production of visceral and somatic hypersensivities and hyperalgesias.More generalised symptoms often exist and efferent activity from the CNS may also be responsible for abnormal visceral and muscular function.It is important to dissect out the symptoms and as well as treating peripheral generators to consider interventions of the central mechanisms aimed at the cognitive behavioural aspects of the patients' condition.Entities:
