Abstract
Few articles contemplate the need for good guidance in question item-writing in the continuing education (CE) space. Although many of the core principles of sound item design translate to the CE health education team, the need exists for specific examples for nurse educators that clearly describe how to measure changes in competence and knowledge using multiple choice items.
