Abstract
A case of suspicious breast mass due to Salmonella enterica serotype Paratyphi A in a non-lactating, diabetic female is being described. The infection was successfully treated with a combination of surgical drainage and antibiotic treatment. This case highlights the fact that a focal Salmonella infection involving the breast should be considered as a rare differential diagnosis for breast malignancy and submission of specimens for microbiological analysis may be helpful in establishment of an accurate diagnosis and management.Entities:
