Abstract
BACKGROUND: Emergence of multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii has resulted in the treatment failure of related infections and an increase in patient mortality. The presence of class D β-lactamases (oxacillinases) in this organism is an important mechanism underlying resistance to beta-lactam antibiotics.Entities:

Figure 2.RAPD-PCR Finger Prints of Acinetobacter baumannii Clinical Isolates
M, 100-bp DNA molecular weight marker, profiles 37 - 42 show the DNA fingerprints of non-burn isolates; 43 - 51 represent the DNA profiles of burn isolates.
