Erratum: Association of cigarette smoking and metabolic syndrome in a Puerto Rican adult population: Erratum.

[This corrects the article on p. 849 in vol. 5, PMID: 25104996.].

The above-mentioned article published on page 849-56, Vol. 5, 2014 issue of International Journal of Preventive Medicine[1] was retracted[2]. However, the reason for the retraction was not made clear in the previously published notice. The correct reason for retraction is as follows:

The authors mistakenly submitted the article to another journal for consideration, and in order to avoid an instance of duplicate publication, the authors requested that this article be retracted.
