M Amichetti1.

Abstract

Squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue in patients younger than 15 years of age is an extremely rare occurrence. There are few published series on the management and outcome of these young patients because of the rarity of this disease within this age group. A case of carcinoma of the tongue in a 14-year-old girl, the first reported in Italy in children is presented, with a review of the most relevant literature.
