Abstract
Replication-deficient adenoviruses are potent vaccine development platforms used extensively for human and animal candidate vaccines, largely due to their very good safety and immunogenicity profile. In this chapter we describe a method that can be used in any laboratory for the scalable production of replication-deficient adenovirus vector vaccines to GLP for preclinical studies in animal models, including definitive experimental studies in large target animal species for veterinary applications. We use human adenovirus serotype 5 (HAdV5) as an example, but the method can be easily adapted for use with other adenovirus serotypes from different species of origin.Entities:
