Abstract
The usefulness of I-ioflupane imaging for detecting loss of functional dopaminergic neuron terminals in the striatum of patients with clinically uncertain parkinsonian syndromes is well known, especially to differentiate essential tremor from parkinsonisms. Here we present a case of a patient suspected of essential tremor but not responding to standard therapy, in which the results of DaTscan were fundamental to set up an alternative therapeutic approach.Entities:
