Abstract
Tumors are metabolically heterogeneous, and subpopulations of tumorigenic cells have been recently described to rely more on mitochondrial respiration than glycolysis for energy production. In this issue, Sancho et al. (2015) demonstrate that MYC is a master switch regulating metabolic programs in different subpopulations of pancreatic tumor cells.Entities:
