Abstract
We report the case of an HIV-1 positive patient with primary demyelinating neuropathy (Guillain-Barré syndrome); after intravenous immunoglobulin treatment (IVIG), he presented with an increase in CD4 and CD8 cell counts and a decrease in plasma viral load. Currently, there is little reported research regarding IVIG treatment in adults with HIV-1. The present report brings further evidence regarding the possible benefit of IVIG in HIV-1 infected patients, providing a novel perspective on treatment.Entities:
