Abstract
Cell-cell adhesion mediates a number of competitive and cooperative microbial interactions. Fluorescence labeling and flow cytometry techniques allow us to observe and measure these interactions rapidly and easily. Here, we describe a method to quantify cell-cell adhesion events between two differentially labeled cell populations. Keywords: CdiA; Contact-dependent growth inhibition; Flow cytometry; Fluorescent proteins; Self/nonself recognition; cell–cell binding
