Abstract
BACKGROUND: Myocardial perfusion grade (MPG) is an accepted method of evaluating myocardial perfusion. However, it does not take into the account, the extent of the perfusion. We hypothesized that myocardial blush area times MPG (total blush) would be more accurate than simple MPG, and yield better prognostic information.Entities:

Figure 1Total blush in a patient with chronic left anterior descending occlusion. The dashed area was blush area which was very small in size, and staining was weak despite successful recanalization (a). The patient had a big anterior infarct (b).
Figure 2Total blush was much larger after recanalization (a). The extent of the ischemia was small (b).
