Superiority trials: raising the bar of null hypothesis statistical testing.

We propose a ‘superiority margin’, akin to the noninferiority margin used in non-inferiority trials. This would overcome several drawbacks of null hypothesis statistical testing and can be applicable to other types of analyses as well.
