TETs Link Hydrogen Sulfide to Immune Tolerance.

Abstract

Demethylation of the Foxp3 locus maintains gene expression and Treg cell stability. Yang et al. (2015) show that the gasotransmitter hydrogen sulfide co-operates with growth factor TGF-β and interleukin-2 to activate Tet-mediated DNA demethylation of Foxp3 to promote immune tolerance.
