Abstract
Inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement is indicated for patients with pulmonary embolism and/or deep venous thrombosis when anticoagulation therapy is contraindicated. IVC filter placement, however, is not without complications. In this case, we noted crossing of the filter struts immediately after deployment of the ALN IVC filter (ALN Implants Chirurgicaux Ghisonaccia, France).
