Sir,I read with extreme interest the case report by Liu and colleagues published in the Ann Thorac Med, describing their patient with recurrent in trathoracic solitary fibrous tumor: Remarkable response to radiotherapy.[1]Surgery is the main treatment for solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura as reported by Liu and colleagues. It is seen that the radiotherapy treatment is very effective, but debulking surgery should be given priority in these patients before radiotherapy. After debulking surgery, lower doses of radiation shall be given to the patients. In case of relapse chances of getting re-rays obtained, another treatment option is to conduct surgery after radiotherapy. Removal of the shrinking tumor would be the appropriate treatment option.[23]
