Abstract
A new method of imaging of temperature distributions is presented. The method is based on the use of a BiLu2 Fe4 GaO12 ferrimagnetic garnet layer as a pyro-magneto-optical detection layer. Thermal imaging with high sensitivity, with micrometer spatial and with millisecond temporal resolution is demonstrated in a contactless read-out scheme.Keywords: ferroic effects; magneto-optical effects; magneto-optical films; pyromagnetic effects; thermal indicator films; thermographic imaging
