Abstract
Histoplasma capsulatum var. capsulatum is a dimorphic fungus endemic to America and subtropical regions. Several cases of this opportunist mycosis have been reported in immunocompromised patients. We report the case of a patient treated with methotrexate and corticosteroid therapy for rheumatoid arthritis and who presented with disseminated histoplasmosis that partially mimicked a dermatomyositis.Entities:
