Long-term results of the Girdlestone hip.

R T Müller1, K F Schlegel, H Konermann.

The Girdlestone hip is a possible alternative in cases where reconstruction and reimplantation appear hopeless. Only a minority of the 22 patients we followed for up to 16 years have had results ranging from good to satisfactory.
