The article entitled, “Extra corporeal carbon dioxide removal: A reliable modality in refractory hypercapnia to prevent invasive ventilation”[1], published in pages 286–288, issue 5, vol. 19 in Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine, is being retracted. It was found that the authorship is not genuine. Dr. Agarwal who is one of the authors of this article was found not to be a part of the treating team. The requisite permissions from the participating patients or the concerned hospital were also not taken. Hence the Editorial board of Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine has decided to retract the article. Editor in Chief Dr. R. K.
