Supervised exercise program
| Warm-up (walking and flexibility exercises*) | 5 minutes |
| Posture exercises | 40 minutes |
| Head flexion–extension, lateral flexion, and rotation | |
| Shoulder circumduction | |
| Wand exercises | |
| Pectoral muscles** | |
| Balance and coordination exercises | |
| Feet together*** | |
| Tandem standing*** | |
| One leg standing*** | |
| Heel and toe rising*** | |
| Weight shifting between right and left feet, between toes and heels, and combination of both directions | |
| Rhythmic anterior–posterior–lateral stepping | |
| Anterior–posterior–lateral stepping and weight shifting | |
| While standing with feet together, reaching out anteriorly and laterally | |
| Clapping hands while stepping forward with alternating left and right foot | |
| Alternating between reciprocal shoulder flexion and abduction | |
| Strengthening exercises (theraband/free weights)*** | |
| Sitting position | |
| Abdominal strengthening | |
| Knee extension | |
| Bicep curl | |
| Shoulder flexion–abduction–external rotation (PNF pattern) | |
| Standing position | |
| Hip abduction, extension, flexion, and adduction | |
| Functional activities | |
| Mini squat | |
| Stepping up | |
| Cool-down (slow walking and flexibility exercises*) | 5 minutes |
| Resting when necessary | 10 minutes |
| Total | 60 minutes |
*Shoulder and trunk flexibility, gastrocnemius and quadriceps stretching, and hip adductor and hamstring stretching in the sitting position. **Beginning with arms in the reverse T position, the arms are closed; the arms are then moved together by putting the forearms together in front of the head until they touch and then opened again. ***Progression: eyes open to eyes closed, fixed head-to-head rotation. ****Progression: 6 repetitions of 2 sets to 10 repetitions of 3 sets with 10 seconds of rest between each repetition and 1 minute of rest between sets.
