Abstract
Eliminating hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) with DNA damage is necessary to maintain the homeostasis of HSCs, but the mechanisms underlying this apoptotic elimination are unclear. Now in Cell Stem Cell, Yamashita et al. (2015) show that Aspp1 coordinates with p53 to protect HSC pool integrity, guarding against hematological malignancies.Entities:
