Abstract
BACKGROUND: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) involves the infusion of hematopoietic stem cells from a suitable donor to a patient who has undergone chemotherapy. Stem Cell transplantation is used for the treatment for a wide variety of diseases, including leukemia and lymphoma.Entities:

Number of autologous and allogeneic donors as well as the percentage of allogeneic donors listed at the Prince Sultan Military Medical City. The number of positive cases in Infectious disease screening are listed. Test for HIV, HBV and HCV are done by serology (designated as S) and by NAT analysis of the DNA/RNA. CMV-IgM is done by serology method. Syphilis is done by VDRL method for detection and later confirmed by TPPA method
