Spontaneous sphenopalatine pseudoaneurysm: recurrent epistaxis in a patient with cryptogenic vasculopathy.

Samantha Goh1, Louisa Ritchie1, Theo Joseph1, Jocelyn Brookes2.

Abstract

We present a unique case of recurrent epistaxis secondary to a spontaneous sphenopalatine artery aneurysm in a young woman. This was investigated with an external carotid artery angiogram and subsequently treated successfully with endovascular embolisation of the aneurysm. 2015 BMJ Publishing Group Ltd.
