Abstract
XBP1 is part of the ER stress response, and when activated in cancer cells, it fosters tumor growth. In this issue of Cell, Cubillos-Ruiz et al. demonstrate that XBP1 in tumor-infiltrating dendritic cells blunts anti-tumor immunity. These findings further imply XBP1 as a relevant target for cancer therapy.Entities:
