Hierarchical cluster analysis of genes known to be associated with WNT signaling demonstrated that cartilage from the 5 donors with normal cartilage (ND1-ND5) formed one cluster and cartilage from osteoarthritic donors (OA1-OA5) formed another cluster, showing significantly altered WNT signaling in OA cartilage.
