Figure 1A 63-year-old woman with advanced ICC treated with MWA combined with simultaneous TACE.
Notes: (A) A 63-year-old woman with a large cholangiocarcinoma (maximum diameter, 6.4 cm) in the right lobe of the liver. (B) DSA before ultrasound-guided percutaneous MWA combined with simultaneous TACE demonstrated clear hypervascularity of the lesion. (C) DSA after the procedure showed that the lesion was almost eliminated. (D) Enhanced magnetic resonance scan 1 month after the treatment showed extensive tumor necrosis in the location of the original tumor.
Abbreviations: DSA, digital subtraction angiography; MWA, microwave ablation; TACE, transarterial chemoembolization.
