Massive congenital submitral aneurysm of the left ventricle: a case report.

Abstract

Subannular left ventricular aneurysm adjacent to the mitral valve is a rare entity predominantly seen in the young blacks. A young Indian patient with massive submitral left ventricular aneurysm (10.6 cm x 7.5 cm) presenting with congestive heart failure is reported with 2D-echocardiographic, haemodynamic and cineangiographic and pathologic data.
