Abstract
Foreign materials are often seen by light microscopy in surgical or autopsy specimens sent from the cardiovascular clinical services. This paper describes the range of materials that may be recovered in such specimens and provides a pictorial guide to aid in their identification. The spectrum of medical and nonmedical foreign materials that may be encountered in the cardiovascular system is discussed.Entities:
