For the December 2014 article by Sachiko Koike et al. entitled “Nd: YAG Laser Treatment for Keloids and Hypertrophic Scars: An Analysis of 102 Cases” (Plast Reconstr Surg Glob Open. 2014 Dec;2(12):e272), parameters of laser setting were mistakenly written. To provide accurate information, the data will be updated with the following information:On page 2, in the paragraph beginning “Our group initially started using Genesis for pathological scars...” the third sentence has an error: “300 μs” was inaccurately written, and should have read “0.3 msec.” The corrected sentence should read as follows: “In summary, 22 Japanese patients with keloids and hypertrophic scars were treated every 3–4 weeks by Genesis using a 5-mm spot size diameter, an energy density of 14 J/cm2, a 0.3 msec exposure time per pulse, and a 10-Hz repetition rate.”In addition, standard setting of laser was mistakenly written as “250 μs (0.25 millisecond)” throughout the text. This should have been published as “25 msec (25 milliseconds).” This change should be applied through the text in the following locations:Study Design and Method. Paragraph 2. Sentence 1.Cases.
