Body Image in Children with Morphea: A Systematic Review.

Sarah D Mills1, Rina S Fox1, Vanessa L Malcarne1,2.

Abstract

This systematic review was conducted to evaluate the present state of body image research in children with morphea and the extent of body image distress in this population. Only five studies met inclusion criteria. Disease-related skin changes in children with morphea typically were associated with, at most, mild levels of body image distress.
