Abstract
Nitraria retusa is a halophyte species that is distributed in North Africa and used as a traditional medicinal plant. In this study, N. retusa ethanol extract and its constituent isorhamnetin (IRA) protected against amyloid β (Aβ)-induced cytotoxicity in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells. An in vitro Aβ aggregation assay suggested that IRA destabilizes Aβ fibrils.Entities:
