p-values for categorical variables from Chi-Square or Fisher’s exact tests; p-values for continuous variables from Wald Chi-Square. Chronic medical conditions included were hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia, coronary artery and peripheral arterial diseases, stroke, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive airway disease, depression, gastro-esophageal reflux, and arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid).
